2013 happenings

The endings and beginnings. 

1. Basketball. First Region Champs in over 10 years, and third in state. I would say we had a dang good team. I had played with them since elementary school, so we just had a tight knit bond. No one could stop us because we had threats in every direction. We were fun to watch and even more fun to play with. It was a great learning experience, and I love every single one of them.

2. Graduation. Ever since I can remember, I have tried to imagine me graduating and it always seemed so far away. Well it has come and gone! It was a bitter sweet moment. Maybe because all the kids I grew up with and shared so many fun memories with, will disappear. I may not see some of them ever again. We are all going to get jobs, get married and have families and that's weird to me. Its an exciting thought though. Our lives are just beginning, and I cant wait to see what accomplishments my fellow classmates/friends have in store.

 

3. Senior trip. My whole group of friends (there were a lot of us) went on a cruise to Catalina Island/Mexico. We rode bikes around Catalina and Zip Lined in Mexico. On the ship we went to the dance club, sang at a karaoke bar, and played games in the empty rooms. I am so glad I got to spend my senior trip with the group of friends I have had since middle school. We were so close and always did fun things together.

4. Oregon. I had the opportunity to go on a road trip to Oregon/Washington with my Aunt Mandy, and Uncle Lee. We stopped at lighthouses and historic sights along the way, shopped at a farmers market and were just spontaneous. I must say, it is gorgeous! We saw Mt. St. Helens and hiked through a Lava Cave that was 2 miles long and pitch black. And the water falls there are breath taking. It was perfect weather, we just got a light sprinkle once in a while. Not to mention I got closer to my aunt and uncle. ;) It was a fun experience.

This year was filled with exciting experiences that I will never forget.
